Todd Field

Todd Field began looking at the world through a fly rod in his native state of Washington.

After finishing school, he tossed his things into the back of a truck and headed to the Four Corners to become a career trout bum. Four years of guiding on New Mexico’s San Juan River were followed by nine years as sales manager of the Scott Fly Rod Company in Montrose, Colorado.

Now a work-at-home translator and family man, Todd has never fished more. He has a sweet tooth for red rocks, August chanterelles, old-timey banjo and a good campfire, and is sometimes seen quietly prowling the roadless canyons of Western Colorado in search of Shangri-La.
