Matt Templin

Matt was born in Wisconsin and has had fishing in his blood from day one.

When his Mom decide to move to Telluride in ’78 skiing became more of a priority and fishing was only done in the summers up in Wisco.  Through his rebellious teens and twenties fishing had taken a backseat.  In ’04 Matt bought his first fly rod and in ’05 he watched Felt Soul’s film The Hatch.

After seeing that film, fishing has been on the brain 24/7.  He was lucky enough to spend his honeymoon in New Zealand, a trip that will never be forgotten.  Matt and Allison had their first child in ’09 and although it has slowed him down a little,  you can still find him at the Portal at least one day a week in the summer searching for Hog Johnson.
